Smith engineered the Mainline MIPS around an Aerocore in-mold polycarbonate shell reinforced with Koroyd crumple zones that absorb and disperse impact energy on contact, paired with a MIPS layer that addresses the oblique and rotational forces common in real-world trail crashes. The AirEvac ventilation system drives airflow through 21 ports across the helmet, keeping head temperature regulated from the shuttle to the finish line. An adjustable visor handles sun and roost, and the fit system includes three cheek pad sizes, two crown liner sizes, and two neck roll sizes so the helmet can be tuned to the individual rather than settled for.
