For performance on both the ascent and descent, we turn to the Nitro Doppleganger Splitboard. Its Cam-Out profile enhances the float and maneuverability in powder while also creating powerful energy transfer to the edges for laying hard carves or navigating dicey situations. Nitro made the Doppleganger's core with a unique combination of light, stiff balsa wood and the same Koroyd inserts found in helmets. Koroyd tubular cores maintain proper rigidity for the torsional stability necessary for hucking cliffs, except it's a far lighter construction that keeps the splitboard at a backcountry-friendly weight.
